LORI O'LEARY, M.B.A.
Lori O'Leary provides MusicWorks with 20 years of
general business experience and the unique ability
to build business relationships.
After
majoring in Biology at Vassar College, she worked as
an electronmicroscopist for the Department of Cell Biology
at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Research
concentrated on myosin microfibrils to determine how
the muscle contracts and was funded by a grant from the
Muscular Dystrophy Association.
She
left the scientific world to pursue her Master's in Business
Administration from New York University's Stern School
of Business, majoring in Marketing with a minor concentration
in Finance. She began a retail career with Macy's, then
quickly moved onto clothing product development and sourcing
with Associated Merchandising Corporation (AMC). She
traveled to Asia and Europe to negotiate production deals
with vendors for department store chains such as Bonwit
Teller, Strawbridge & Clothier, Wanamaker's, Dayton Hudson,
Carson Prairie Scott and the Federated Stores.
Lori
relocated to the Philadelphia suburbs in 1990. She was
recruited by The Franklin Mint in 1993, where, over the
next 10 years, her responsibilities included new product
development and marketing, Artist Relations, and Licensing.
She now joins her husband in launching MusicWorks, the
Delaware Valley's premier music therapy service provider.
